Loved it. This book was a great ending to the series. I’m sad that it has to end, but all good things must come to an end. I highly recommend this book, its definitely a 5 star, but you must read Brie Learns the Art of Submission before hitting the after graduation series. The author has also put her After Graduation series into one book called Brie Embraces the Heart of Submission. All 8 books wrapped up in one.

Destroying the Wrong

Alissa Sullivan has got it made — a supportive, loving family, a cause she believes in, and her new boyfriend. With her best friend Kat at her side, she was counting the days until the end of high school when they could go away to college together. Then she met Scott, a man who wouldn’t touch her but would turn her life upside-down.
Katherine Horne is perfectly content being in the background. All she wants is to graduate and get out of the town she’s grown to loathe. She’d do anything to avoid confrontation but when she finds herself in increasingly humiliating situations, she realizes some things can’t be ignored. Especially when it comes to bullying.
With their carefully planned futures unraveling, Kat and Alissa will come to realize the bond of their friendship will be tested… and might not make it through intact.

This is book 1 in a 3 part series.

This book is great for young adults to read due to the subject matter. Bullying is something that is very real, and it’s happening everywhere. Those who are being bullied, are the ones that stay in the background and try to stay out of everyone’s way. This was the situation with Katherine. Unfortunately when things happen, the victim suffers in silence because they don’t want anyone to know about it.

Alissa and Katherine are best friends. I’m not really sure how I feel about Alissa’s character. Alissa has a great family, a wonderful friend and a boyfriend, and somehow that isn’t enough for her. I can relate to Katherine’s character being the one in school that always wanted to stay in the background.

Matt, who is Alissa’s boyfriend is a sweetheart. He’s loving, patient and kind. He has no problem with showing Alissa how he feels.

Matt and Alissa start going to meetings to help prevent bullying and also decided to take some self defense lessons in case someone needed the help. Alissa is introduced to Scott, who is the owner of the gym and runs the bullying class. Alissa immediately starts to feel an attraction towards him.

I’m not liking Scott’s character. I can’t tell you why because I don’t want to spoil it for you. He seems all nice on the outside but he has his own agenda.

I give this book 5 stars due to the important message received from this book I look forward to reading book 2 when the girls are off to college.

Reality (The Life of Arie #1)

Sandy’s review Nov 19, 13

Author: Dani Hart

I am Arie Belle and up until my mother’s unexpected and mysterious death my life had been pretty simple, but then things became dark and, at times, hopeless. Even my uncanny ability to communicate with nature had turned its back on me. My only saving grace is my lifetime friendship with the boy next door, River, whom I had always thought of as my soul mate up until my eighteenth birthday when everything seemed to change. My body tingles with heightened sensations and my emotions veer out of control. They are further tested when Ashe, a beautiful stranger with a powerful draw, enters my life and challenges my heart and soul. Amidst the rush of feelings after years of numbness, my true destiny slowly unravels and my journey to find out what I am, to find my mother’s killer, and stop my own death becomes a frantic rush before the next full moon.

This powerful story encaptures the true meaning of love and the dark corners of life that can either suck you in or save you.

I have to say this book is very different then I’m used to. Its hard to put into words the creativity that has gone into making this book. I’ve never read a book like this before. You will find darkness, beauty and love.

After Arie loses her mother at the age of 16, she feels nothing but darkness and sadness. Her best friend River and his family has always treated her like she was one of their own. Rivers feelings go deeper then just friendship. They both are in love with each other, but does Arie feel the same way? Arie felt that River was her soulmate until she turned 18 and her feelings started to change. Her whole world seemed to be turned upside down. Vision started to occur, which she did not understand. They are like pieces to a puzzle of her life unfolding. She only gets clues as the Universe lets her.

Now that Arie is 18 she has taken over her mothers book store. This is where we get to meet Aries best friend Starling. She is a wonderful friend and is always looking out for Aries well being.

Ashe comes into her life and she feels a strong pull towards him. She is conflicted with her emotions. She seems to have strong feelings for Ashe, but she doesn’t understand because she is in love with River. They are two different kinds of feelings.

As you read this book, you will have several questions, which will be answered as time goes on. I’m not a very patient person, but you need to have patience to watch Aries life unfold.

You will be opened up to a whole new world of beauty, but in the darkness shadows of evil lurk about.

I enjoyed reading this book. I look forward to reading book 2.

One choice to make between two loves…but, who’s fooling who?

Home for Tina means family, Pitcairn Island and a job as an aircraft engineer. She’s not looking for love, so when pilot Blane Solis sweeps her off her feet, she is soon flying into the heady slipstream of romance…but, is he the one for her?

Tina’s childhood sweetheart, Connor Brown doesn’t think so. What dark secret is Blane hiding, and why is he hell bent on ensuring Tina doesn’t find out? Can Tina ever forgive Connor for what he did so many years ago?

One heart. Two men. A shattered past and an unsure future…with love on the line

The author kindly gave me this book to review before its release date.

I am growing to love Pitcairn Island. I first fell in love with the island in her first book Remembering Love. Everyone looks out for each other. They also have their fair share of gossip.

Tina has been away from home for 15 years. She comes home with a great job as an aircraft engineer. First flight in is when she meets pilot Blane. Blane tries to sweep her off her feet and she is starting to fall. Blane is keeping a secret from Tina which the whole town seems to know but her.

First love Connor Brown may still have feelings for Tina. He broke her heart once 15 years ago. Now that she’s back they are trying to be friends. Is it in her to forgive Connor for what he did all those years ago?

In this book Tina suffers sadness and loss. She will need a shoulder to lean on, but who will she choose?

The reason why I love Nadine’s books is because she writes about where she lives. I know these are fictional characters, but is the island really the way it is portrayed in her writing? It is surely a question I will be asking her. I like her writing style. The story flows and when you read Nadine’s book, you have a hard time putting it down.

I give this book a 5 star rating. I thought it was excellent, I loved the characters. You can feel the love that Tina feels when she’s Home Again.

Sapphire Universe

Author: Devon Herrera

Nina Ryan learned early on in life that if you want to avoid being hurt, you need to be proactive. If you pay attention, the Universe will always steer you in the right direction. It will help keep you safe. So, she follows the rules, and she is safe. Until Connor Wright barges his way through all her carefully laid defenses and threatens to destroy the comfortable life she has created. Faithfully following her #1 rule, Nina tries to accept that the Universe has pushed Connor and her lives together for a purpose. Determined to make Nina his, Connor chips away at the walls Nina has placed around her heart and her secrets. Is Nina following the signs that will lead her down the right path, or does Connor hold secrets of his own that will ruin Nina for good? Only the Universe knows.

Nina and Connor’s story comes to a HEA in this book. There are no cliff hangers. The next two books are the stories of other characters.

Disclaimer: This is a mature New Adult Romance recommended only for 18+

“Rule #1 Do NOT ignore the signs.

Rule #2 Pay attention.

Rule #3 The less they know about you, the harder it is for them to hurt you.

Rule #4 Comfort is dangerous. It can be taken away.

Rule #5 Need is a handicap. It can cripple you.

Rule #6 He isn’t what he seems. Don’t trust him. ”

These are the rules Nina lives her life by. She has a troubled past and feels she can’t trust anyone. She is a believer of fate and where the universe takes her. She lets the universe call the shots. It all begins on a bus ride to work. The universe shifts.

Connor is on that same bus and barges right through those barriers that Nina has put up. ” Nina tries to accept that the Universe has pushed Connor and her lives together for a purpose. Determined to make Nina his, Connor chips away at the walls Nina has placed around her heart and her secrets. Is Nina following the signs that will lead her down the right path, or does Connor hold secrets of his own that will ruin Nina for good? Only the Universe knows.”

This is a very good love story. You wonder throughout the book, if they will get their happily ever after. I enjoyed each character. Nina is a feisty one who can definitely hold her own. Conner is such a romantic which could make any woman swoon just with a look of those sapphire eyes.

You’ll meet several other characters in this story. Lola for instance is Nina’s best friend. She looks out for Nina because she knows her past. Lola is pretty feisty as well and she seems like she can whoop some tail, if anyone messes with Nina.

Everyone is very caring in this book, they help each other out especially in times of trouble. I gave this book a 4 star rating. I can’t wait to read the second book of the Universe series.
